When you hear of people meeting
legendary figures or celebrities, quite
often these figures do not measure up
to the hype generated about them,
this is not the case with Carroll Shelby.  After working with three of
Shelby's companies, spanning over a
decade, he is still, to me, representative
of the best in motorsports, deserving
every bit of his legendary status and is
one standard the rest of us should try
to achieve.  Watching him fire up and
test drive a Can-Am chassis I crafted
will always be one of my most
memorable days in motorsports.
